1、Material Type: CK45 is a medium carbon steel, specifically with a carbon content of 0.45%. Good mechanical properties are achieved through this composition; high stress applications are the primary suitability of this material.

2、Some of the processes performed on a hydraulic piston rod include: Heat Treatment - improving hardness and various forms of strength (quenching and tempering being the more common).

3、High surface finish: CK45 hydraulic piston rods are normally designed with a good surface finish. Reduced friction from this finish is what leads to near perfect sealing efficiency.

4、Dimensional Accuracy: Strict specifications and all round tolerances are kept when producing these rods. A proper fit within the cylinder is ensured, system efficacy being at least partially dependent on this accuracy.

5、Corrosion Resistance: Naturally hydraulic piston rods have little to no inherent corrosion resistance, coating or other post treatment is used to push them towards a more universal suitability for different (often harsh) environments.

Manufacturing Process:

Material Selection: Choosing high quality raw materials is the first step in the manufacturing process. Medium carbon steel as mentioned above is ideal for hydraulic systems.

Chainsaw machining: The final shaping of the hydraulic piston rod occurs, length and all precise dimensions being taken. Turning and milling (smaller or larger diameter rods both) are used. Verifying cylinder compatibility is part of this process.

Heat Treatment - again a very important step, machined rods go through it. Hardness, tensile and to a point fatigue resistance are all increased, high pressure systems being the end use they were made for.

Distinguished rod and bar manufacturing is a true art form, with or without extrusion, coating and/or heat treated surfaces. Efficiency and life of a hydraulic system are all dependent to some degree on the rod.

Quality Control: The finished ck45 hydraulic piston rods undergo rigorous quality control checks. These tests include dimensional checks, hardness measurements, and various forms of surface quality evaluation. Every rod must comply with some form of relevant industry standard or specific customer requirements; packaging and shipping only occurs after all these pre-determined checks have been completed.
